Kathleen Stuart

Kāneʻohe-born singer, Kathleen Stuart, was nurtured from a young age by O’ahu’s performing arts programs and community theaters. Under the direction of Ron Bright at CPAC, her performance as Nellie Forbush in South Pacific secured Kathleen a spot at the stage conservatory Mountview Academy in London, England. From this bright beginning Kathleen’s career led to work in regional theater, national tours, and on-camera in film, TV and commercials. The Kathleen Stuart Trio was formed in New York City in 2018, performing jazz and blues weekly at The Rum House in Times Square and venues throughout Manhattan.

Kathleen returned home as a guest artist to play Anna in The King and I (Poʻokela Award) for the I’m A Bright Kid Foundation, the non-profit created to perpetuate the teachings of Mr. Bright by supporting the performing arts and education; and later Kathleen received the honor of teaching for the foundation. She returned again for Mānoa Valley Theatre’s Allegiance as Hannah Campbell (BroadwayWorld Award) which made its Honolulu debut at the Hawaiʻi Theatre Center. Kathleen is thrilled to continue to share what she has learned through her career and collaborate with the musicians here today. Connect on IG! @kathleenybean
