Parker Nakamura

Parker Nakamura is a 2017 graduate of Arizona State University and majored in trumpet performance with a concentration in orchestral studies under Regents’ Professor David Hickman. Parker currently attends the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, where he is pursuing a post-baccalaureate certificate in music education. He is a part-time member of the Royal Hawaiian Band and has performed with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra. Aside from being an active freelance musician, he also maintains a private lessons studio. In addition, Parker is an alumnus of the Hawaii Youth Symphony, participated in the Pacific Music Institute and the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Institute, and studied with Kenneth Hafner, Hawaii Symphony Orchestra.
