Session B: String Orchestra
July 6-July 14, ages 10-18
String Orchestra offers emerging young violin, viola, cello, and bass players the opportunity to advance their technical and musical skills in a small group setting.
Through a holistic curriculum of large ensemble, instrumental technique, and solo instruction, students rehearse, receive sectionals, participate in master classes, and perform in outreach concerts and program recitals. Private lessons are included in tuition and will be taught by PMI Workshop Faculty and Teaching Fellows.
In addition to playing in String Orchestra, students explore different genres of music, practice techniques, and body awareness. It’s a fun, immersive experience that inspires students to find joy and friends in music.
